As Christians, we obey Christ's call for mission, which means sharing the Gospel with the world through God's love, wisdom and strength, and we should fulfil this mission, not out of duty, but out of love for God and for His world.
After Christ's death and resurrection, He commanded the disciples to tell other people about His saving love for them, He said; "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you; and surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20).
Jesus said; "I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full." and His desire is for us to accept His love and salvation and to grow daily as His disciples.
Christian missions, however, is not limited to overseas ministry. While believers should faithfully support those who go to the unreached, all Christians have the mission to share Christ at home with family, friends, co-workers, and the community around them. Christian mission is obeying Christ, sharing Christ, and relying on Christ in all we do.
Outreach is a vital part of the Mission of Mullavilly Church, alongside its Worship and Prayer, Pastoral Ministry and all the Organisations that are run for both adults and children.
In the past Mullavilly has been involved in a number of outreach activities in the community by dedicated and committed parishioners. There are, however, some new areas of Outreach which the church is now hoping to commit to over the coming months and years.
